Is it me, or is the A3 scanner at the Roskill Shops' (the place I go to scan anything big because I only have an A4 scanner at home) getting real shitty? I already noticed from other recent scans that there's a lot and lot of dust and the resolution isn't as good as ones I got scanned last year of the year before... Gosh... makes the skin looks so damn rough...I was going to do this piece in colour on the computer, but after sitting on my butt playing Skyrim for about a month, I thought "Screw that ****", I'm doing it on paper.
Anyway, I haven't really done anything with pencil for quite a few months and I thought I'd give it a crack again during the end of the holiday. There's two things that I like, and that's evil, epic looking armour, and hot looking Asians. Please excuse the fact that some places on here body are little out of proportion (e.g. her face being too long). I'm not that familiar with drawing women and I was constantly changing her pose throughout the process. I was thinking stuff like "Is her waist too thin? etc"
HB, around 15 to 20 hours on paper.

I'm not sure if her beauty is deadly, or if her deadliness is beautiful. Either way, it's a powerful and phenomenal piece. The detail is just stunning, especially her armor. I love it!

Well, firstly you need a good quality pencil. But after this was scanned, I adjusted the brightness and contrast on the computer.

Wonderful drawing
I scan everything on A4 scanner, even larger than A3. If you have a good scanner at home I recommend doing the same... just make 3 scans and stitch them together in Photoshop

I have tried that before, but because of the type of cover that my scanner has, there's always a white strip along the edge where the stitching happens and it's just such a pain to remove it.

Hmm not sure what the exact problem is, but I do it by using a thick book as a "cover" instead (and several white papers between to prevent book color to meddle with the scan) and I've scanned work as large as 35x50cm with that method

Yeah, I got a little lazy and didn't bother with anything softer or harder. The skin may have been smoother if I used something like 2H.
