Description A really simple (and boring) render, compared to the past few I've uploaded. I've found I don't like my portraits nearly as much as my full scenes.

Anyway, I decided to try porting Jana over to G8F, seeing as there's more suitable content for her on that figure. Notice I use the word "try". I ended up just having to remake her. And god, I know I'm in the minority thinking this, but it's nigh impossible to get G8F to not look like a botox fish. Unless you give her teeny tiny, itty bitty lips. Which Jana does not have.

Thank you for the encouraging words and the feedback. I'm happy to know that my portraits aren't as flat and uninteresting as I'd initially thought. I'll focus on making more of them, instead of just scenes.

G8F poses nicely, but I still prefer G3F. I find it difficult to make female characters with Genesis 8, since the base figure has an overbite like a shelf and a pronounced cleft in the bottom lip for some reason. The male figure is better though (for once).

You might be on to something there, thank you. I'll have a look when I'm back on my main PC. I thought it was bizarre that they'd have that on a base figure too, but chalked it up to Daz's new idea of an ideal feature on a woman. A wonky morph makes more sense, though.

Edit: You were right! There was a character morph set to 100 by default. It's called "Erevan Airy Head", for the future reference of myself and anyone who might be reading this and have this problem. Thank you so much for suggesting this. I would've never thought to look, and now I can more easily make normal-looking women.

Well, I for one generally like your "simple" portraits, like this one, more than your full scenes -but they look awesome too! Just personal preferences here :3

I think the incredible quality of your renders gives a lot of personality to the character portrayed, in particular with the lighting, the grain of the skin, the expression of the eyes...

It's actually with your Bosmer portraits that I fell in love with your work, even though I'm usually not too fond of digital renders ^^ And this one is awesome too!

I've noticed from the amount of faves this is getting that a lot of others must feel the same, so I suppose there's something to my portraits that I'm missing. I'll have to make them more often than I have been lately.

Thank you so much, for the kind words and the input. And for reminding me about my Bosmer character, actually. I haven't done anything with her in a while because the rigging on her eyes broke, but I think I might know how to fix that now.

I guess it's common for artists to have a different view on their work than the one other people have -which is understandable, you get a different view when you've worked on a piece for hours, polishing each and every detail.

That's quite alright, just make whatever you feel like making

You're very welcome! ^^

Oooh, I would love to see more of her!   I've got a Bosmer OC myself, so it rings a bell haha.

Thank you

I use Daz Studio, which has its own figures, but Blender would be a good start if you wanted to learn 3D modeling. You would need a pretty capable PC, though.
