Description I just want to give a little update of the project I´m currently working on. I roughed out the muscles of the back and chest so far and started on the wings as well. But it´s still a long way to go
Any opinions on the posture are quiet welcome, since I´d be still able to change that at this state!

Really love what your doing here! The anatomy is spot on and the pose is quite dynamic. I love that your doing a flying creature, as they don't get made often enough in my opinion. I like the wings and leg positions, but you could get more drama and power out of this guy if he wasn't so flat looking when staring directly at him. What I mean is if you'd angle him up a bit, by tilting the body back a little, you would give the viewer a point of interest and thus some drama. Overall though, this is a slight suggestion as maybe the picture doesn't fully give justice to your vision. Awesome work!

Thanks for your comment! I already tilted the torso back a little, it´s maybe not that visible on the pictures.
Tilting it back more would be difficult, because I used a pretty strong steelwire for the core.
But I still have the feathers, especially on the wings, to create more drama later on.

Hey, that's really awesome! I'm not really sure of a pose, but I was always partial to this awesome one from the movie Dragonslayer. In the end though, you would probably want to do something that shows off whichever parts of it you think would be most relevant, while obviously making sure it doesn't tip over or anything. files.abovetopsecret.com/image…

Thanks for your feedback! I kind of want it to look like it´s swooping down on it´s prey, with the claws stretched forward and the nameless king jumping from it´s back, ready to impale his enemy.
Unfortunately I´m not able to open the link, it always returns an error-message!

Oh, I don't know what's wrong with it, sorry. In any case, I think generally for this guy the head, wings, and chest are very important for showing off whichever pose you go with. I hope the reference screenshots are fine, if there's any specific angle or detail that you still need let me know.

No problem, I love fantasy creature designs like this, and it is so amazing seeing them made into something really tangible, little by little!

I absolutely agree! That´s the reason why I prefer traditional sculpting over digital sculpting. The process is just so much more satisfying.
