I had this idea a while ago of Marie staring at the viewer from across a diner table. Like a loooong time ago back before Misaki even existed or I used Blender and always thought it looked like shit in XNA only.
Well I wanted to use this amazing school outfit of Misaki and this idea just seemed to fit it. Also that song omg...
A bit of an unfortunate thing is that this model was one of Shuu earlier of Misaki and he has not yet gone back to update so the quality is less than his current standard.
I tried to overcome that by just using the textures of a more recent model of her and it seems like that works fine. But the hair can't really be fixed by that and it is still a bit wispy 
Also Misaki hates to look directly at the camera (weird since she is from a game where she looks RIGHT AT THE CAMERA 99% of the time) so her eyes have to be moved manually
Oh and here is the aesthetic version which somehow popped up out of photoshop and I kind of like it too much to just delete XD: sta.sh/014lovam2c5

A few things you can try to reach that next level.
The neon light in the back ground, if it is a separate mesh, turn that bad boy on.
Want to get even spicier, try using volumetric lighting. It would add A TON to this scene.

Oh, almost deleted but noticed Misaki staring back at me.
What can I say here, this is not Marie or even second graded 2B.
But Misaki is one of my favorite shy girls. that face expression is priceless, considering how difficult to pose her eyes, yes I know, it is almost impossible to make her look in the camera.
Probably because she is shy, right? She keeps avoiding that look in the cam.
poor girl did not write anything yet and look so tired already.
It is like she is trying to say back "What are you looking? I don't know what to write in this assignment..."
yet, this render is so intimate that you can feel her breath on your skin.
your work on materials is getting all better, love the metallic work on details.
But be careful with joining the mesh and then subdividing, it may give you errors like that texture zigzag on her west.
sometimes it is best to leave them not SubDivided.

Expression is very important to me. I think this is one of the best, and hardest, things to work on. No defaulting to duck face over and over again xD

I value good art no matter who made it and what was made.
the zigzag on her collar, just compare it with the un-SubDiv model you would see the difference. It happens after meshes incorrectly doing tris to quads and then you subdiv them. Just a Blender error.
when I have something similar I just let them be and only remove doubles, nothing else.

It is funny I struggled to decide who to give this pose to, it was Misaki the whole time but I also loved how cute it looked on Marie but idk i just liked the idea more with Misaki. She is the cute girl from school you had a crush on and that works better here I guess XD
