There is one simple reason I hate KOS-MOS and everyone loves her:
Her only personality trait is "does not take crap".

I haven't played the game, but judging by what everyone else says about her, that's all I ever hear.

Well... considering she's an android devoid of all emotion that's generally the motive. o wo; I haven't fully beaten the series but I love her in general because she's an android.

Yeah...Unfortunately, I tend to judge characters on their depth, rather than their looks.
Deep characters and BAMFs aren't necessarily the same thing, and I generally look for the former in RPGs.

True, true. But that's the sterotype with android / machine characters. But there is a lot more to her than looks and no personality. I dunno about "doesn't take any shit" though. I mean yeah, she can destroy things, but that's only if she's told to or feels the need to protect someone / something. Example: A Gnosis (the monsters of the game) was attacking one of the PCs (her owner) but one of the NPCs was shooting it like crazy and in the way. She calculated shooting him to get through to the Gnosis was the best idea (which of course upset her owner). But again, that was just something 'calculated' because she didn't know better then. *shrug*

It doesn't to me. Because I know at that point (from playing the game) she still had no real regard for human life so what's it matter if a few die (like when she shot the one I exampled)? So long as Shion & Allen were safe, everyone else is expendable.
Regardless that scene was funny. XD Poor squishy humans. Needing their "air".

Eh, she just rubs me up the wrong way, I guess. Or rather, everyone loving her does. I'm not normally opposed to things based solely on their fans, but since everyone seems to love KOS-MOS for what I think of as "the wrong reasons"...
