Cecil was so beautiful, the pictures people took of him so calm and majestic. Even he was everyone's favorite attraction since he was so comfortable around humans almost like a domesticated cat but people remembered that he was wild and he had his natural instincts that he could trust, even he would allow vehicles to get close to him. Even their was one photo where he followed a tourist vehicle.Β
He had sired 12 cubs with his brother Jericho, but sadly they will not survive. But at least Jericho is taking good care of the 6 lionesses and the cubs.Β
Even what Palmer and the guides did was illegally wrong, they lured Cecil out of the Hwange Park where he was protected and the guide KNEW that it was illegal to hunt on parks. He even denied everything, he is just pure evil. Even Cecil's death brought us the attention of Trophy and Big Game hunting, the lions are vulnerable nearing endangerment. Even the guide says that palmer is innocent.Β
No just no, Palmer is not INNOCENT, he did things illegally by killing black bears inΒ Wisconsin, lying about it. Now he is in hiding to avoid another jail time and tried. He was in trouble 5 times, was put in jail and now he's not learned anything.

I am full of sadness and also anger over the killing of Cecil. What an outrage that such a beautiful creature had to be slaughtered to gratify the ego of puny man who obviously has self esteem issues.

Already there are flame wars across social media from anthropocentric idiots decrying and calling out on people outraged over the death of one lion when there are fellow humans out there killed daily or are suffering.
Should we feel bad if someone actually did follow through with their death threats against Walt Palmer or even severely injure him? - Not really, society doesn't seem to bat an eye if a child molester or murderer gets killed or maimed; therefore, we have no moral obligation to be concerned about Walt Palmer's welfare or safety.
Society's growing concern over animals and the environment is a part of the progressive moral evolution of Western civilization and the world in general. In the previous century Africans and Native Americans weren't even valued as fully developed humans, but is that still the case today among the global majority? Of course not! There is no such thing as declining human value in favor of non-human creatures, that's a delusion anthropocentrics make up and attempt to propagate.
