Piranha is the best. Does a lot of damage, more than decent fire rate and manageable recoil. It's perfect for taking down Cerberus and Reaper mooks. Just charge at them firing one shot after another with them staggering and finally dropping dead.

I just use sometime the geth Shotgun, because i used more pistols, assault rifle or sniper
