Illustration inspired by the graphic novel "Aida al Confine", a work by italian comic-artist Vanna Vinci. <3One of my teacher used to say that my drawing style remembered him of Vanna Vinci, but I wasn't that familiar with her works at that time.
So I started checking some of her stuff and at first I wasn't able to see our affinity (even if I decided to pick her inking style to try to "model" my own inking, lol...), 'till I discovered this novel "Aida al confine" [link] (translated: Aida on the frontier -?- even if the word "frontier" doesn't have the shades of meaning that are required in this case, mmmh...) and it totally win my heart: the tale is rather sad, melancholy and obscure, the atmosphere is great (the background is a really fascinating italian city, Trieste), and her drawings have hit me maybe for the first time...
So, this is my little fan-art!
Oh, and I really like the way she "styles" her male charachters, which is always an add!XD

Aida al confine rimane il mio fumetto preferito della Vinci. E' a dir poco eccezionale, c'è chi l'ha trovato banale ma a me piace, mi ha coinvolto particolarmente! *__*

Aida mi è piaciuto moltissimo, l'atmosfera è bellissima e la storia mi ha colpito!<3

L'altro che ha un'atmosfera simile è la serie di Sophia "la ragazza aurea"/"nella Parigi ermetica", il segno è molto sporco ma la trama conquista...anche perchè l'alchimia mi appassiona
Purtroppo alcuni mi sa che sono esauriti ç__ç a Lucca puoi andare a supplicare la Vanna e De Giovanni per ristamparli

Infatti questi che ho letto sono gli unici che ho trovato in fumetteria/libreria. I prossimi che vorrei prendere sono quelli della serie di Sophia!<3 Una casa a Venezia non m'è dispiaciuto, la storia era bellina, i disegni un pò meno, a mio giudizio... Tra l'altro ho visto che l'hanno ristampato con un altro racconto (L'altra parte, se mi ricordo bene)che non ho letto, biii!._.
comunque dovrei esserci a Lucca, quindi oltre a supplicare Vanna personalmente XD mi spulcerò anche un pò di banchetti, sperando di trovarne qualcuno!!!
