This is great. Is this Bakshi and Jackson mix? If so its the best things from the two movies together. Gandalf has his silver scarf, Boromir's hair are dark, like it should be, movie faces of Aragorn and Boromir are very royal Gimli with big hood and fair haired Legolas both comes from Bakshi's movie I think. And Frodo is fair haired at last. And his face is not from PJ movie - nice change. And he is not ugly - thats too a nice change as I think so many not-movie or pre-movie Frodo's portraits are simply ugly. That goes for the rest of the hobbits illustrations too - usually artists claim that hobbits are either elderly, bald drunkards or mentally disfunctional children or goblin-like creatures They are not elves of couse ( hear it Peter Jackson? ) but they should be modelled after normal, average man with curly hair but much shorter. Though Merry and Pippin faces seems too stupid. Β

Ha! I know where you got the idea for this illustration! It's good that Bakshi's version still has its fans out there. nice job of blending together its imagery & that of the Jackson trilogy together.Β

It's definitely Gimli's design in your images that evoke that movie. But then you also pay tribute to the Peter Jackson films, such as with how you draw Aragorn.
