If that is what it looks like when you it lost quality via camera, then the real thing must be stunning.

Thanks, im not sure if its stunning but im actually really proud of this drawing! ^^
The quality loss is mainly that its very dark and also kind of blurry in some places.

Beautiful feathers! Maybe it would help to use a photo editing program, to brighten it/increase contrast? That's what I like to do if a photo comes out dark.

Thanks! I edited it a bit, increasing the contrast but when I increased the brightness it became more blurry. I must admit I didn't use the best program, so ill try and get a better one. Any suggestions?Β

Hmm, by blurry, do you mean the drawing started fading away as the brightness increased?Β Getting the right balance between 'brightness' and 'contrast' can take some experimenting. Also, it might be difficult to remove every trace of shadow if it's darker in certain areas, that's hard to avoid.
Β
I don't know many photo editing programs, but even Windows Photo Viewer can do a little bit with 'adjust->lightness' and 'clarity' (and 'vignette' which can lighten those shadowy edges).Β I'm sure any of them will have useful options, even if they use slightly different words. There are probably some recommendation lists on the internet, and there are some for phone apps too.Β
Personally, I just use the free art program FireAlpaca. It isn't exactly for photos, but has the tools 'Filter->Hue->Brightness', and my favourite, 'Filter->Levels'.Β Adjusting the Levels bar is great, it's more controlled and makes the drawing stand out strongly with a much lighter background - good with colour too! It doesn't have a tool for 'sharpening' blurred lines, though.Β
I hope that helps!

It's a really nice picture. I have the same problem when I have to take photos of my work and submit them, but mine must be pretty bad to begin with, because yours still looks to be high quality. You aren't the only one with the problem, though.

Its really hard to get a decent picture and its a pity, because sometimes the drawings loose a lot of detail or color (that was not the case here, hahah). I tried a lot of different lightnings and then chose the best one, this one was like the 15th picture i took!Β
