Perhaps devotions would provide an answer to my many questions. While it was rare for the holy word to give one direct words of advice, it has happened. And even if I did not understand it right away, perhaps contemplation and prayer would later reveal it to me.

Feeling humble, I took a seat instead among the initiates and others of similar status. It was important to be a role model and live as an example. I was not above them spiritually, I was among them. With them.

I was not quite used to the attendants giving me extra attention and care, but tried not to occupy them long as they fetched me my holy tome and quill. They moved like a held breath, silent as owl wings to keep the quiet sanctuary. The room was filled with long wooden tables that went end to end, and wooden chairs that all faced forwards.

The back wall was floor to ceiling bookshelves, filled with holy tomes spanning the eons. At the front was a gathering of several pharus, several smaller that hovered around a much larger one, all radiating their warmth. Overhead were colorful panels of glass that allowed warmer light still to shine through.

It was a place that had the cozy quiet of a library, yet the open light of a cathedral. A perfect union of both, held together by the soft melodious hum that filled the air. A chant of union. Of communication. Of seeking the holy dream.

With a deep breath to center myself, I closed my eye to fall into that warm sound. To bask in that light. I splayed my hands against the well worn wood-grain of the table, a tether to my body as I looked upwards with my mind. Within myself, I ascended upwards into the light.

And here is the final one, not animated. I had meant to upload them in the opposite order but oh well! With this, the series is complete. Also, all the submissions have been re-ordered unto the proper way in their gallery, and some of the story has been added to the descriptions. Start with the first one HERE to get started reading through them. It may take me a few days to get all the titles corrected and the stories added, check every once in a while!

This project took way way longer than I expected, but I am proud of doing it. It does mean I am finally free to work on some other things that had been inadvertently been put on the shelf since this was kinda time-sensitive (until it wasn't lol). I hope you all enjoy it! Perhaps I will do more with this setting/world in the future. It is actually associated with a project that has long existed, with species like the Astra and whatnot. But I never quite knew what to do with it.
