A wild European Polecat and her freshly killed mouse...Just kidding.
It's just my domestic ferret, Alessa, and her frozen/thawed mouse lunch.

When I had a pair of ferrets I only fed them whole prey, one of them LOVED gerbils. xD Very nice girl you got there!

Never fed my guys gerbils because I've never found and frozen ones, haha. I've never even seen live ones either.

I found a shop who sells frozen hamsters, gerbils etc - it was originally for an ailing snake but I just fed it to the ferts. xD

I didn't know that's what you fed ferrets. We kept ferrets when I was a little kid, and I don't remember that. It's a nice photo, anyway.

Many people still feed ferrets commercial ferret or cat food but I don't like feeding them processed foods.
Mine get raw food and whole prey.
