Description Maybe the myth of Quetzalcoatl as a feathered snake is not true, maybe quetzalcoatl was a dragon with short claws that seemed to be an snake.

To be a dragon it doesn't "need" to have claws or legs at all, there are plenty of dragons that are depicted to be serpent-like, also the Quetzalcoatl is often depicted having large feathery wingsΒ

FΓ­jate que hay algo curioso; en mi pueblo mucha gente afirma que a las culebras muy viejas les salen plumas, yo nunca lo he visto pero tal vez eso pueda aportar algo al significado, como vejez = sabidurΓ­a (recordar que Quetzalcoatl se describe como alguien sumamente sabio).
