You must try on a constant rate dude!
Practice makes perfect, give it plenty of time and it will pay off, trust me!
Truth to be told, prior to 2007 and before joining Deviantart I wasn't too fond on putting something down on paper, as I was consumed by 3D and computer games. In these 2 1/2 years I have improved a lot.
I suggest that you search around for tutorials on perspective first of all.

That's it exactly. We're all fuel for one another. The great thing about it is that no one is better than the other because we all have our own little twist to how we approach art. Just as unique as our personalities. It's just cool ya' know.

Exactly, we all get ideas and inspiration from each other. As I was saying to another dude, 2 and a half years ago my sketches and my line drawing confidence really sucked, as I had abandoned drawing for a long time (thank computer games for that). Nowadays it flows more easily on the paper and with greater confidence. And that is all because every day I log in and see various artwork that I admire and appreciate, so I try and give my best too, well not my best all the time.. haha but you know...
What I'm saying is that 2 years ago I didnt' mind if I had not sketched anything on a day, nowadays I get sad if a day passes without even a simple 5-10 minutes doodle. That's the one thing I love about DeviantArt; it made me think in such a way.

Wow! The similarities between us never cease to end. About 4-5 years ago I started drawing seriously. Before that I did about one drawing per year and that was over the winter. Now I probably do two or three per month. Not that I'm worried about quantity. It's just that I've been inspired, like you said. For the same reasons too. Forums such as DA really light the creative fires and the best thing of all is this place is multi-national/cultural. Soooo much to learn and take in from everyone across the globe. Someone once said that if people all over the world took the time to get to know each other there would be fewer wars. How true. It's very hard to draw a gun on someone you call a friend. Sounds silly and simple but it's true!

"Someone once said that if people all over the world took the time to get to know each other there would be fewer wars." very wise words indeed!
Yeap same here, before the DA period it would be a miracle if I did one piece per year too. Some automotive sketches maybe (just a few) but far worst quality than the stuff I do nowadays in minutes. I still play games, but now I have the need to make room for some artwork as well. I wish I could do 2-3 pieces per month, every month. Sometimes I do and trust me it feels soooo good!

Well, I'm pretty fortunate to have a family that doesn't mind me drawing. I just grab the ole lap board and sit down with everyone in the living room. That way I can be sociable.

Yeah, I have that problem now and then as well. I'm seldom on a time table though so it's all good.
