didn't turn out like I wanted but whatever 
this tutorial was ment for pastels anyway

Because you copied it exactly, it not mean for that. It meant to show you the process and the techniques so you can apply it to your own work. Alot of people? Name 5 people.

well I don't know their names 
and you know the Evan tampon pick I did? I applied various tutorials from a book to draw my friend :/ so I just don't copy stuff from the book, I do it first to get the hang of it and compare, that is all. Then I apply the stuff to my own creations.
I'm sorry if you don't like it but there are alot of people that have done the same thing, so go pick on them to while your at iy, but I think it will take you a good while

wait.. I have no clue what you mean here actually... but why is it bad tt learn that way? I still don't see why it is so harmful, it isn't like I claimed it for myself, I clearly stated this was a tutorial.
besides, all the tutorials I copyed for the Evan picture was the shading for the lips (which I used to study lighting and stuff like that), the rest I read about and tried to apply to my picture w/o even attemping the tutorials in the book
All I'm trying to say is that people learn in differant ways

Sorry for seeming like i was lashing out, i was just a little upset that you did that tutorial in the exact pose, line work etc. You can actually learn more if you do it to your own drawings.
Next time you should at least state the artists name for the tutorial.
I never looked at the evans picture. Sorry. I was only claiming about the wolf paw.

This is beautiful. I love the way the hair lies. The only thing that might be a little off is the placement of the thumb/dewclaw. I think it maybe should be a little lower, but it's definitely not anything I would notice unless I was absolutely looking for something. I think it looks fine the way it is!

That site also has an exceptionally in-depth look at wolf anatomy by the author, as long as you are not bothered by seeing in photos what all is under the skin!
Anyway, if that's not it, it may just look odd because there is little shading or interaction with the background (which is fine, because that's the way it's supposed to look).
