This is about as close as you can come to Norwegian kitsch. A moose in sunset.

At the moment I'm doing my preparation for the major research project for my degree on the moose [in sunset] as a kitsch symbol of Norway. How bad can you get it?

Another weird thing about Norwegians, is that the bloody moose is supposed to be pretty national romantic and all that.

Anyway, in a tutorial on another project, one of my tutors started talking about the moose in sunset and its connections to religious cultural symbols, like catholic imageries and stuff which kind of lead to this weird image in my head which lead to this.

Done in illustrator and photoshop. Almost put it in the vexel category, but it doesn't really fit there.
