I don't think you have... anyway, you have now. I actually just practiced them A LOT. Referencing from screencaps, real animal photos, etc. The key is to NOT draw the fleshed out body right away. Start with a circle for the head, and then add oval shapes for the body, neck, and hips/rear. Use sticks for the legs and circles where the joints and paws are. Add the tail (if there is one) last. THEN start fleshing it out, using references for a guide. The hardest part for me is still the back legs. It takes a lot to get them to look right. And most different breeds of animals (even if they're still members of the same family like canine, feline, etc.) have different hind leg shapes. Pay attention to body shape too. Like ribs, chests, and hips. Very important.
