ROBOT SPIES!!!!!First time I post a pic that has the rest of the crew
This was also done with OpenCanvas v1.1
I did the text myself with screenshot and layers.
I had been working on this since Tuesday night.
I worked a lot on the colors, light sources, shadows, background gradient, and a lot of fixings.
I'm just happy to have done this much with the wallpaper.
yes it was intended to be a wall paper.
I was originally inspired I suppose by some of those mock movie posters.
Jonny Quest does not belong to me, I'm not making money off of this. This is MY work for You guys.... and for my desktop

well there is no ellipse tool with OpenCanvas, so I got creative and simply used a large brush with single mouse click to get the circles down, then with the limited layer types, simply adjusted to get a nice angle... I was doing it mostly off the top of my head, but I think I got a good rendition of it.... as far as I remember from the 60's version, big black orb, big red iris, then small black pupil.
Robot spy was a great classic episode.

Man, I love this one. It really is the perfect mix of both series. and I like how Dr. Zin doesn't look an alien like he did in the movies.

No problem! I really like how Jessie came out ,too. It's a shame what little art there is of this groungbreaking show on DA. I suppose when the movie comes out, it will be back on the pop culture radar. Have you seen the new JQ documentary that was released on youtube?

Wow, that is seriously impressive. If I was any kind of visual artist I'd have to check out this opencanvas thing. Haha. It dos remind me of a mock movie poster.
This looks like a mixture between The Adventures of Jonny Quest and The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest. (loved the art of the old one, but hated the animation quality) Zin was much older in the later versions and that's also when Jessie came on the scene if I recall correctly.
Oh, no...my mistake. There was that one movie, Jonny Quest vs. the Cyber Insects where Zin looked like he could rival King Tut in age. Before and after that he looked younger. My bad.
The only thing that truly strikes me as slightly off, and yet totally hilarious, is that Race looks like a kid with grey hair. He's somewhat elfish in appearance.
The shadows and highlights are very well done, love the subtle changes in tones and value in this picture. The hair is done very well, this is usually problem point for the people I meet so I'm really loving that. And of course Zin's classic Robot spider, that's done very well.
I just really like the composition of the whole thing. Each element just works together so well. I really like this. Thanks for alerting me to the fact that you were excited about this addition to your gallery.

I understand how I may have some problems, so I keep in perspective that this is my FIRST drawing with the whole team, I need more practice drawing them, at least I've started, and I will keep at it, I anticipate how my future work will be like with the others

I usually draw quite a bit of JQ stuff. Bandit too, I had practice before hand. Never drew Zin before
the robot spy too, though it was easy to get, big brush, one click, medium brush, new layer, click, afterward I spread the highlights. call me hax
PS: there was also the first tvm Jonny's Golden Quest which introduces Jessie.
