Instilled into the pantheon of the demigods
desperate to feed my emotional sickness
the evident void that courses its way through
consuming our mindless shadows to fall short
in contrition of our shame we will never amount
we will forever walk under someone else's glory

so the individual defines humanity
but our collective minds forces us to walk blindly
a constant pain to match the fashion of our shells
the endless defamation for being ourselves
and not accepting what provides true happiness..
im worthless inside and the world disowns it
for being small minded is bliss on its own

and the marks from the noose are still clear
because their image will always have bruised my view
but my dormant perfection is seen by only one
the winged silhouette that ignored the world
and in turn, my views upon my pathetic reflection
the one that bore the serenity in humanity,
perfection in damnation
