Yeah yeah yeah, creative title I know. This is actually for English class, where I'm supposed to do a 'book talk' about the book of my choice (isn't it obvious?) and present a revised cover or whatever on a piece of bristol board. So basically I just drew an eyeball and stuck a half-assed reflection of Mitsuko (the main female 'villain' in the book) in it. I would have scanned this had the scanner been large enough to accomodate this, but oh well, the pic's close enough.

The text says "Battle Royale, Koshun (should be Koushun, I misspelled it but it wasn't the end of the world) Takami, and "An electrifying thriller that delves into the minds of 42 doomed teenagers and leaves the reader speechless." (we were supposed to do one of those review-type things to stick on the thing). And yes I fucked up bad on the 'quote' at the bottom. Ignore it.

Ok, the art - well, I had loads of fun drawing and coloring this one - minus the assload of my day it took just doing the black, which doesn't look that ominous if you didn't know that my black marker was dying on me so I had to give this like eight coats. The little greyness you see in the pic is the reflection of the flash on the shininess of the black prisma pencil crayon I used to try and cover the holes. It really looks assloads better in person. The eye, well, the eye was fun, especially the tears/eyewhites, neither of which you can make out from the photo. The iris was a bitch to get half-decent looking. As for Mitusko herself - she looks exactly like Courtney (a classmate of mine) with black hair. Which is creepy. And I like the drippy blood on the sickle, and yes her hands are messed. Not that you can tell much from the photo.
