Nerina's past is unknown before she joined the Titans, except that she traveled around very frequently when she met Terra in some town. The two became best friends instantly and traveled together. When they met the Titans, Nerina fell in love with Cyborg instantly. After Terra left, Nerina decided to stay with the Titans. She was devastated after seeing Terra working for Slade and resisted to fight her. When she turned to stone, Nerina visited her many times grieving. After Terra returned with her memories gone, like Beast Boy, Nerina did all she could to make her remember. To keep Terra happy, she left her alone but keeps hope that her friend will return. She is very fond of Best Boy and treats him like a brother. Nerina always likes to talk to Starfire when she's upset and relies on her for anything. She carries around a gourd full of water, even though it may look heavy, it's very light. She has two mechanic bands installed to her head, and act as a satellite/GPS or any other forms of technology. Her name means Water; Sea nymph. Nerina has hazel eyes and long black hair. She wears a purple shirt with blue designs and grey stripped armbands, denim shorts with black thigh high stockings and red sneakers.

Personality
Nerina is shown to be a jealous type of girl. Though always kind she is very bossy and mean once in a while. She is a nature loving girl and love to relax either under a tree or by a stream. She shares a sweet brother-sister relationship with Beast Boy and enjoys his company. Once in a while, she gets into arguments with him and Cyborg over the dumbest things but soon make up. She gets really mad when anyone goes in her room without asking. This is due to her anxiousness of her things getting lost. She has a loyalty to her loved ones and dedicates anything for them. Her favorite foods are fruits and vegetables, but is crazy for waffles.

Her water gourd is a reference to Gaara from Naruto who carries a sand gourd.
She calls Starfire, 'Starlight' once in a while
