Description
This is the third piece from my little folk range. The pendant is completely unique and was not the result of a mold. It is a miniature sculpture which has been painstakingly hand sculpted and detailed by me. No molds have been taken of the finished products so each piece from the series is a one of a kind. The pendant was sculpted with wax carving tools from a blend of polymer clay and granitex. Granitex is similar to sculpey but with the addition of tiny fibres which alter the texture of the clay make the finished product more similar to stone. The finished sculpture was treated with mica powders which were then baked into the clay rather than being painted on after baking. The pendant is embellished with Czech glass, seed beads and Giverny glass then strung on to micro-fibre suede and finished with antiqued copper findings.
