I like how photorealistic this is in terms of realistically shallow depth of field and smooth bokeh, not to mention the immense attention to detail on the eye, plumage, skin and beak. I might even say that this reminds me of a specific camera lens. It's that realistic! Β

Ohhh dear what a compliment to get from you! I can't say I agree though, I absolutely love your drawing to bits. Especially those eyes, they're mesmerising. also, the song draws me in even more. makes me feel a strange, pre-wistfulness, as I am about to head back to my own beautiful city, and I'll be leaving a seaside cove frequented by egrets behind (until next summer, anyways!) for being such a simple depiction of a bird's face, I feel a deep connection to this work.
