My second remake of a card from the Tales of Middle Earth MTG set. The original was very inaccurate, and not true to lore in the movies or books.

You look at that and you can tell immediately. That's not aragorn, the colors are all wrong. The armor is wrong, the sword is wrong, everything.

Through consulting with my good friend and lore nerd RKR, we deduced that the image was meant to depict Aragorn leading the armies of Gondor out, towards the Battle of the Black Gate, and I have based his outfit off of those scenes from the movies. He is wielding Anduril, Flame of the West, and leading a squadron of Gondorian Knights, in their classic platemail, holding aloft banners bearing the symbol of Gondor, the white tree on black background

I remade everything, even the city of Minas Tirith in the background. At least, the little snapshot we see of it. Aragorn has his half plate, his chainmail underclothes, Gondorian tabard, and his distinctive cloak that is black outside, and red on the inside

Created over a week, using photoshop, stable diffusion and photobashing
