I played Azure Moon and Verdant Wind in English, played Japanese starting from Crimson Flower and stayed like that ever since XD

At that point I had no clue why she did that bc I didnt know about TSITD yet so im like... wahhh?? XD the flame emperor reveal was also very shocking since the little clues in AM flew right over my head lmao.

I think for most people their most fav lord depends on which route they played through the first time XD I very nearly picked the Black Eagles first but went with Blue Lions bc I was too curious about Dimitri and the hot bois lol

the transformation thing XD playing through AM the very first time there were no mentions of TSLITD other than their appearance during ethereal moon. So I had no clue who those mages were so it all just threw me for a loop until I played the other routes lmao.

Hahahahaha the boys in the BL house are hot af XD I can relate, but I picked BE because I wanted to know what made Edelgard an archenemy of the others and why she started the war, that and that I like strong willed women.
Yeah the fandom is like: one part hates Edelgard (mostly Dimitri Fans), the other Rhea and the other part Dimitri (mostly Edelgard Fans ) but they don´t understand that all the characters in the game have different traumas, like Claude is the one with less traumas and still he was discriminated when he was a child because he had Fodlan blood running in his veins.
About TWSITD in the Azure Moon Route they don´t appear as much as the other routes, but Thales/Volkhard (Edelgard´s Uncle) does and you kill him with Dimitri before fighting against Cornelia. He wanted Edelgard and Dimitri to fight. Edelgard was using TWSITD to reach her goal but she didn´t really like the things they did, like they experimented with her when she was a child... They kinda manipulated through her pain to make her hate the Church and Rhea. And Thales does say that Edelgard is a weapon who will release her flames and destroy the church and they she says that their kind won´t have salvation.
Before her fight with Dimitri she accepted teh drug that TWSITD gave her becuase she didn´t have anything else to lose, she knew what was going to happen to her but she wanted to reach her goal. I also think that in the end when she threw the dagger to Dimitri it was so he could kill her, because even if Dimitri forgave her the other wouldn´t´so she had to die. Is quite curious how both Dimitri and Edelgard feel sad/cry when they had to kill the other in their respective routes. :c the games is so damn sad... but I love it with all my heart it brought back what I love about the older FE games <3

Yep, hate for these characters run rampant in the fandom, unfortunately. I do understand why these characters did what they did given their trauma, hence I don't hate any of them :')
The story is just one big gray blob (except for TWSITD ofc) and I really like that XD waaaaay better than Fates story, which was honestly trash lmao
I didn't realize Thales was Volkhard at all during AM lmaaaooo since I was introduced to Thales during VW. I was like wtf is this dude so keen on starting a war between his niece and nephew lol
I think a huuuge factor in the war was poor communication, if Dimitri, Edel, and Rhea all sat down and actually talked about their problems the world would've been way better off. Rhea already had an inkling of an idea that TWSITD exists, and they also coordinated the tragedy of Duscur so Dimitri would've been on board with wiping them out. I don't think the current crest system was what Rhea intended at all either, I think it would've formed with or without her guidance since crests provided tangible advantages to certain human beings and humans just looove rallying around power. The only true path to a crestless society would've been to wipe all of those with crests out, or to demonize them like Marianne. Which I think would've been hardly fair either. Even if just Rhea and Edel sat down to talk, we would've been able to avoid a lot of tragedies;;
Yep, she knew if she gave up then all the sacrifices she made would've been in vain, which was tragic

IKR? They don´t give themselves the time to know the characters and why they do what they do, but there they are hating on them without knowing their reasons or trying to be in their shoes.
since I played CF first I knew that it was him in AZ so it wasn´t a surprise hahaha. I know the crest system might have been a good idea at the estart but Rhea lost control of what people did with that authority and power they had because of the crest. A lo of people like dorothea, Marianne, Sylvain, Mercerdes, Lysithea and Edelgard sufferend from it :c

Both Edelgard and Rhea had good intentions but their methods were too extreme :c
The dagger represents that people can change their destiny cutting a path with the dagger, when she threw it to Dimitri she was telling him that her path ended there.

Yeah since she tells you in CF that she is the FE, but un AM the reveal and Dimitri´s breakdown is amazing.
That´s what my friend and I think, the games so sad, like the only lord that survives is Claude (if you choose not to kill him in CF that is)

Claude survives in AM, CF if you don't kill him, VW, and maaybe SS? they say he disappeared but I think he just went back to Almyra.
Edelgard only survives in her route but that makes sense really.
Dimitri's fate in all but his own route really saddens me tho. Especially SS, they strongly implied that he felt like such a failure after Gronder that he killed himself
and then in VW he just gets off-screened like.. game plz dont do this to me D:

in VW he goes back to Almyra and in SS is mentioned that he runs away or something like that. Dimitri dies in all the other routes except his own, same with Edelgard.
I felt so sad in SS when his ghost visist you and because of seteh you never guess what he wanted to say, like dimitri really wanted to see you TnT yeah he is killed in VW too, in CF you see when Edelgard kills him.

yep, I was really underwhelmed by BE/GD reveals after BL XD
CF is Claude's worst ending if you chose to kill him, SS is not far behind since he essentially failed to realize his dream and was forced to return to Almyra, at least he chose to do so in AM and VW.
Dimitri's worst ending is also CF or SS, a huge reason why CF was so painful to play for me was bc I felt like the bad guy the entire time since I didn't support Edelgard's methods. Dimitri was actually sane in CF and it sucks to watch him go down like that, I just wanted to give him a huge hug ;(
Replaying AM rn so I can see happy Dimitri again ;A;
