This is the first commisioned piece I decided to post up...
*FULL VIEW PLEASE*
LOL! I know the weather seems kind of weird in this piece, but I love those days when you can see both the sun and the rain at the same time. But it usually only lasts for a moment.
I spent a lot of time in coloring the background. I played a lot with textures. I started with this pic before winter vacation, but the colors seemed totally wrong at first that I wanted to give up. But I started working on it again this week, and I hope it didn't turn out that bad.... *_*

I dunno if I had comment on this before, but I love the high levels of details on this one. That and the guy's clothes rocks. The colors are rich and beautiful too.

Nanami-Yuki, your pieces never cease to amaze me. The one thing that makes your pieces stand out is the fact that you mix your colors together so well that they either merge or become iridescent. It gives it all a magical glow without being so shiny like the millions of other anime-style pics out there - it's your own unique touch. ^_^ I love the architectural background behind the character, and your texturing of the stonework is gorgeous. I love well-planned out backgrounds; they look good. Your water rendering is also excellent, especially the part where his foot is entering the water and it ripples out. You've managed to convey a sense of depth to what could've looked like 2D water.
As for your character, I love the clothing design - when have you ever gone wrong with that?

I really love those days too, where you can see the sun and the rain. It gives me this peaceful feeling for some reason, especially if the birds are still chirping. ^_^ Sorry, I got carried away.
