's contest this month is turning PTT characters into animals. I chose to do two manga-only characters because they have the perfect hair for it. Mai has sweeping, feathery hair that looks like it's about to fly away and Yuna has a pair of triangular odango that look a great deal like fox ears, so fo course I decided to draw them as a bird and a fox. Since we never see either one in color I decided to color them like their anime equivalents.

I actually had a lot of fun drawing them, and I'm rather fond of them even if they aren't Pique and Lillie. As a whole I think the manga has a bit of a harsher reputation than it deserves, what's really wrong with it was the author trying too hard than anything else. It had a lot of potential and it always fascinates to see potential even if I'm sad when it's lost. Anyway, good luck in the contest everyone!
