Wow now this is a work of art! What were the slimes? Marshmallows? Very well made and very beautiful and appetizing! I'm sure you hated to eat it but yet loved it

Thank you! The slimes were meringues! If you've never had one before, they taste a lot like a marshmallow, but are crunchy, but they also melt as you eat them. It is always a joy to eat the cakes I make, particularly this one, since I filled it with "loot," which was a total surprise for everyone at the party!

I saw the little blue loot, so what was it exactly? You're cake looked so wonderful! I bet fans would pay you mega bucks for a cake like that! You could also do the King Cure Slime which is green or the King Metal Slim too. You could probably do small chocolate Dracky snacks perhaps? Just throwing a suggestion out there. Anyways, I'm a novice baker at best, and pretty sure you know what you're doing. What is your favorite DQ game btw?

Thank you for all of the complements. I really only design cakes for family and close friends, as it is just a hobby of mine. They are typically always for kids and so I just ask them to dream up a big idea and then I get to adapt that into the real world.
This cake was for one of my nephews whose current favorite game is Dragon Quest Builders, but I have done everything from Minecraft, to Katamari Damacy, to Hello Kitty, and even Guitar Hero. I have never played a Dragon Quest myself, but I play many other games (I have never had a console, so just PC stuff). Is there a DQ you find shines above the others?

Dragon Quest VIII has a story that shines above all with graphics and an awesomely voiced story.
DQ V has a very inticate story but the graphics are old school. Your skill is great, at least we can all thank you for sharing pictures of it with the world. We appreaciate your baking and artistic talent!
