Hey guys,does this happen to you, too? Sometimes I look at old photos and I keep thinking - did I change since then? Am I different now? I can remember all these days as clearly as if they had been just yesterday, but actually a lot of time has passed since the first photo of the row has been taken in 2006. And my life is so different from back then.
I picked one to three photos from each year I cosplayed Riku, starting from 2006, the latest photo from two months ago.
And now I wonder and maybe you can help me - can you see a difference? I just feel these years in the things that happened (and that was a lot), but I don't know if you can actually see it.
I'm 28 years old now. Riku has accompanied through my whole adult life up to now.
I'd like to hear an outside opinion. What do you see?

Hmm you yourself don't seem to different. I see the costume and wig improvements. You though don't seem to have changed much, though it seems you may have gotten more sleep in the later photos than in the beginning ones. That's kind of awesome how you can keep yourself looking ageless.

Has it really been that long!? I supose it has... wow. I think we all change but I dont think we feel or see it until we look back. As far as I can see though, it seems that you cosplay more animes but Riku has always been your special one. So i guess even in change there is still something the same.

hmm, i'm really not sure if anything is changed. i'm just bad at analyzing thing. when i first watched you, seeing your photos and cosplay, i always thought your expression is stern and you look tough. don't know if it's the word, but something along that line. seme like,i guess. i was surprised after that you are very nice and take times to talk your fans. (maybe it's just the eyeliner XD) i even would like to see you for real for once, if only i don't live too far. and you do have a soft, delicate sides in some photos. i think you have an awesome cosplay since from the beginning and up until now. you just pull your expression out nicely and fitting. think i digress ^^"

to be honest, i love all of these. but you can see that your facial expressions intensified over the years. your most recent ones have always struck me to the core with fascination and awe. i cannot say anything beyond that because, as always with your work, words fail me. XD

i feel as you got older and progressed with modeling for the photograph, your personality began to come through not just riku's, or how the character should be portrayed, though i don't cosplay i approach my photography the same way you approach you craft, its a part of you there for it is you.

It honestly looks like Riku has grown with you and you have grown with Riku and it can quite easily (in my opinion) be seen through out the pictures since you started in 2006.

Your riku cosplay has always been on of my favorites and one of your best in my option but now that I look at this sequense..it look as almost as if You grow older its almost as if the cosplay evolves with you. In the first few years it looks like you were just posing it was something to do in free time but the others seem to make it more like you take on the role you allow who you are blend with the character. His Character becomes You and your personality. If this makes any sense at all.

To be honest, I've been watching you even before I became a member of dA! 
The quality of each photo is very precious and the eyes always seem to capture me. Sharp yet, delicate.
The pictures get more meaningful as the years go by.
Please do continue to cosplay more!

i think you have, in a good way, the quality has increased, i love watching your cosplays, not just riku but all. most of the time when it comes to cosplayers, i will only look a there pics that is my fave haracter, but your cosplays just attract my eyes

I see a definite change, in everything from how confortable you seem in front of the camera to your appearance.
At first you seem a little unsure of what to do with yourself, but as the photos go on you look more and more professional in your poses and everything, it's clear that you have learned and are perfecting your art.
Costume quality improves greatly, as it becomes clear that you are also getting better and better at crafting those sometimes outrageously detailed costumes.
The biggest change is in your overall appearance as well. Your facial features become more defined and, not to be offensive in the least, your size clearly changes slightly from the first photo to the last. I can see it in your arms, they become more toned and less thin than they are in the first one.
There is clearly a big change, and one that in my opinion is all for the better! ^_^ You are beautifully ageless, I had no idea you were 28 years old! You are an amazing artist, so keep doing what you so clearly love, it will keep that youth alive in you for years to come! ^_^

I'm going to leave out the obvious better camera quality because I know that's nit what you meant -_-
The first few you seem troubled or unsure, as if you don't know what's going on in your life or something. As it goes on you seem to get more confident in each picture, like you found a path and you're sticking to it. And of course with every day, week and year you mature, as does everyone. So perhaps the you in the first photo is a different you than the one you are now--still you, but wiser, more confident, and more mature.
You're amazing, Koji. Don't ever stop doing what you love.

The costumes and the quality of the photos improved quite a bit. As far as you yourself go, your face seems to have matured a little more, but other than that, you don't look that different.

I see a lot of improvement here, particularly in your cosplay design and photography. For instance, your wig(s) that you use now look a lot more realistic than the one(s) you used from 2006!

Thats really cool! I know what you mean as time goes in you do see a change in what you look like. I have found it with my cosplays also, I think that even if its slight there is a more mature look to the face as time goes on.

There is a very clear increase in awesomeness.
First picture to me is really of just some stranger who I would never have thought of speaking to other than to compliment them on their cosplay.
Last picture, someone who I am more than willing to say the most insane thing to, someone who I am willing to stand up for, someone who I respect a lot, someone who gave me a reason to be up at 5am once which is saying something since I love sleep. Most importantly someone who has made me laugh which is something I find very important, I love to make others laugh and I love it when they can make me laugh even on a bad day. Of course I can't really say I've made you laugh there's no real way for me to know, sort of a small distance issue.
As weird as all that sounds it's true. Though I'm not even sure if that really answer the question and to be honest I don't think I could answer the question. The only difference I can see is just from getting to know you, or at least what you're willing to show online. Otherwise I have no real comment on the pictures, other than I do of course see the increase in quality, and I can see the work that goes into them better.
