Mother 2 is allways my fav RPG game & will be, im a big fan of ness but my friend to really like lucas from mother 3 i dont know why ? -_-

Now Final Fantasy may have been one of largest fanbase of the genre with the mainstream ,It's not that I'm saying that they are bad but I personally prefer the Snes and psx games more than then newer games seem to have been selling out and slapping the name final fantasy all over it , The older additions in my Oppinion had a lot more personality.
The mother series is a League of it's own , Which made it great because It was not the typical JRPG everything about it stood out.
Do you mind if I asked you a question about the battle system in each game were they different in anyway because I knew that in Mother 3 You could do a bunch of Combos with the beats playing off the character's theme which would have hard I imagine if you were tone tone deaf . Could you do that with the First two if you attack during a particular part of a song?

I couldn't agree more! Same, I can't say I hate the FF games either, but they annoy me somehow! XD
Ok, to clarify from game to game how the battle system works;
You're absolutely right about Mother 3, where you can get up to a 16-hit combo with the help of the beats and you also have a rolling HP-meter which creates suspense in som situations and gives you time to heal.
Mother and Earthbound/Mother 2 however have different battle systems.
In Earthbound/Mother 2 you do have a rolling HP-meter, but no Combo system.
In Mother you have no rolling HP-meter and no combo system. If you get a mortal hit, you're dead! So the first game is more based on...well...I'd say being careful, whilst the others have more stategy involved thanks to the rolling HP-meter.

I've found an FC for $45, and it's brand new in the box.
Im buying it hopefully this weekend, then all i gotta do is save up about 200 dollars to buy earthbound....
