Forgot I did this today! Whenever I draw when our internet is down/out, I generally forget what was done since I don't share right away. Haha.But yeah. I hope I'm not poking an old wound here. I just recently had the chance to look back on the very first Abydos design (left) and feel a bit more safe drawing her. You're welcome to pick and choose favourites, but despite the drama involved- I'm glad it happened for the sake of being so happy with what this character has become now! It may not show due to my hesitance in drawing her, but Aby means a lot to me.
She went from a stripey, shy and modernized forest dweller to a stream-lined, proud and tribal savanna runner.

Nice to see a contrast between the two designs! I really love the current one, but I'll always have a soft spot for the old one. Though side by side you can really see... they're really two completely different characters. Amazing how much change took place!

Wow, maybe it's from that long hiatus I took back through the 2005-2009 years, but I hardly remember old Aby. While I like the new Aby, I'm happy to see some things, like her hair, have generally stayed the same.
