For ~Neko-daewen !
Rough sketch stage. Work in progress shot. Racked in about 7 hours of work today between inking & colouring - from the moment I woke up this morning - not including the 3-4hrs spent sketching it over a week ago. I AM SO GLAD TO BE DONE. This was an adventure just working on it! 8) Tried plenty of new techniques!

I hope to dont hurt anybody but i think the only good thing is this picture is the color. Perspective is really bad constructed, characters are completely rigid and the inked work have no sense: outline of the zepelin (on the last therm) are thicker than the outlines of the fence in first therm, etc. Also, color of the zepelin is as saturated as the other things that are closer on the picture.
I have never been dailydevianted but i think i could help you with this critique.
Its hard, but try to construct basing on a perspective, dont imagine it, ant try to separate therms bassing on contrasting, saturating and also bassing on the trace of the objects.
If not, it will seem like made by a child, and it could be interesting when you get to domine all these techniques, but not before.

Naw, I wouldn't ever call your work stagnant. A lot of the older stuff seems to have a repetitive style, but that isn't stagnant, thats just you doing what your comfortable with. But this one stood out bigtime. I could be wrong but I think its the first time I've seen the character surroundings so detailed, that could be why it stood out to me. That and the motion is very obvious. ALL the details are very easy to see too though so you could have been receiving negative feedback in the past because your scanner doesn't like your coloring tools
