I LOVE THIS!!! o.o;;Trade number 2 of...uh..alot of coming Trades with ~Tanginello ! XD; lol. I've had this character sketched out for about a week or so and after clarifying our Trade "set" via note yesterday...I immediately went to work on inking and CGing it once I got home. Jeebus cracker - I think it's almost perfect! Well, not in a literal sense, but sure as hell in my eyes it is. >< I envy the character design and had a blast colouring him! lol. Beautiful earth tones are an addiction to me.
I'unno what else to say really. The greenish BG could've been better, but I didn't think (eventho I was tempted) putting in a full BG like I wanted too would've been fair to Tangi when she got to work on her half. So far, on this Trade and the previous one seen [here] , I seem to like them interacting with some sort of middleground. o.O When I do some traditonal ones, I can guarentee I won't be doing that. XD heh.
I swear, if anyone tries to critique - I'll throw something!! XP'

• Drawn on heavy cardstock with pencil and pens in about 2hrs on November 26th, 2005.
• Then coloured in PSCS2 in under about 6hrs with a total of 39 complete layers.

Your photoshop skills are becoming sooo amazingly good, that you're going to make everyone on deviantart jealous of yet another medium of yours. xD Wicked cool! He is a great character design, I would have never really thought of putting the extremes of red and yellow/gold together, but they really worked well here. And jeeze, first thing I must say, the folds on his pants are freakin perfect! You must have some good years of experience with folds huh? How do you even practice with that? I try throwing a shirt across the room and drawing the folds, but when it's a made up character, I never know where to put it. xd I guess I'll have to get used to it.
Those eyes and that hair, they seriously stand out because of the other colours of the picture and it makes him so hot. (Yet another fan girl for a not-living character. tee hee!) The pose is nice and the feathers of his wings are quite beautiful as well. I know it would take a lot longer, but have you thought of adding more detail to the feathers? It might be a lot harder with a mouse and all, but just here and there might add more detail, ya know? It's hard at the beginning of CGing stuff to find hwere to add detail without screwing up the picture, but I think something small like that might be nice. Just a suggestion.

Lines are wonderfully clean and really well tapered, cell-shading is smooth and well-placed, anatomy is phenomenal, clothing folds looks very natural, wings are amazing (you have serious wing skills), and Parallel just looks too darn pretty~ I like this interaction with the middle ground thing, adds extra interest. Liking the complimenting contrast between the cooler green in the background and the warm colors of Parallel's fur and the toned-down somewhat earthy colors of the colored border.
