No seriously it shocks me how much political opinion has flooded every corner of the internet lately, on one hand it's good that everyone seems for involved mentally but on the other it doesn't stay on the parts of the internet where it belongs, and most of it is political flame war and petty insults about this opinion or that rather than open constructive dialogue.

This is called being a good friend. Dem Soc would be someone holding the charges battery at gunpoint, forcing him to give the government most of what he has so it can be distributed evenly amongst other batteries, leaving both batteries with nill.

I pity your situation, though I am afraid there is nothing I can do. I have actually been referred to as a 'paranoid redneck' for calling politicians like AOC how I see them; as Communists. I know Germany and Venezuela and Cuba didn't think it could happen to them, so I am not being so naive.
