I haven’t written you for so much time. Seems to be eternity since I last saw you. It must be very good in the city now. I heard there are a lot of rich balls with beautiful ladies and interesting young men, aren’t there? I guess, you have a lot of fun and good time there while we are pinning with boredom here, in a little province. Mom say all will be better soon. You will earn money for payment of debts, I will marry and our family will be happy again, like many years ago, when we still had our condition and Mary was live. But actually I don’t want our failure to be repeated again. I still can’t believe and reconcile.

I want to leave in the city to you. I want to see long beautiful streets with high lanterns, to hear the sounds of the city, to be on a shining ball. It’s all very amazing pictures in my imagination.

Are you going to visit us? Mom never tell but she really miss you. As all of us. I hope you are fine there.

Our father died. We had dinner when he suddenly smiled (you know that he has ceased even to smile since this misfortune has fallen upon us), he closed his eyes and died.

When I saw him in the coffin, he seemed quiet, free and happy in white clothes with flowers. He was still smiling. We have burned him as he had wanted.

And our house seems more empty now.
