Please excuse my sad excuse for coloring and lining, I let my sister use my colored pencils (With my pen in the bag) and it seems she has miss placed them >:C On top of that, I'm nursing a pretty bad art block, trying to get out of it :/ I haven't been able to do anything seriously for a while so I'm gonna have to try harder I guess

BUT this is of Deligati Civitatem fav.me/d6qsh46 , Res Novae fav.me/d6pb3l4 , and Quisque Venandi fav.me/d6vrwj4 when they first met.

This morning only two horses had been turned out into the foal pasture, Nova and Deligati. Deligati was naturally suspicious without the usual loudness of the other foals dancing all around the place. Now there was only one, Nova, and she was silently grazing on the dying fall grass.
It had been a while since Deligati had been turned out into this pasture and, though she had worked her way far up into the rankings of the mare herd, she missed her young overo friend and the way she was clinging to her side made her think she felt the same. She felt like her mother, she never really got to tenderly care for her own foals, it seemed like they grew up faster than normal. With a sigh she was about to drop her head to graze but quickly picked it back up when she heard the creak of the gate opening and a loud young whinny coming from the same direction.
Nova perked up immediately and with a shrill whinny of "Hello" She trotted her way toward to larger, appaloosa marked stranger.
But Deligati didn't like this new face's attitude, the way she trotted in with her head down and ears pinned reminded her of herself as a foal, and even now, it's not a good thing to be reminded of. Deligati was a mean mare. With this filly acting the same, there's no telling the trouble she would make. "Wait, Nova!" She called sternly, causing the small overo filly to come to an abrupt halt, just in time for the larger filly to break into a canter.
Nova's silver eyes shone with shock at the death threat of a call her care taker had just released but Deligati bursted into action. With a weird lunge and a gallop, she became an impressive barrier between the stranger and her beloved little Nova. "Who are you?" She demanded as the stranger skidded to a stop, nearly falling under her, her eyes were purple but despite the pretty color, they were anything but friendly looking.
"I could ask the same to you." The young roan appy replied, not faltering at all.
"I live here."
"I do too now."
With that something weird happened, Deligati smiled, she actually had to look away to keep from laughing even then a small snicker escaped. "I like you." Her eyes were still hard but they had softened a tad.
The stranger was just about to relax when Deligati shot her another quick glare.
"But seriously though." the mare said, if she was a stallion her shoulder hair would be ruffled up, but since she lacked the muscles for it, she just ominously loomed over the young appaloosa.
"Quisque." She finally broke, "Quisque Venandi. The purple hunter." She finished with a worried nod.
Deligati lifted her head with a proud smile, she had finally conquered the confident youngster, "Hunter, eh? How about I teach you how to hunt later?" She asked with a confident grin.
Nova peeked from behind Deligati with a happy grin, "Hai!!!" She squealed. "I'm Res Novae, and this is Miss Deligati Civitatem, you can call her Meanie Butt if you'd li-"
"No she can't! And neither can you! It's rude." She scolded Nova, who was barely phased.
Quisque smiled slightly, "Hi." She nodded, "I'd love to learn to hunt with you guys." she said.
Deligati nuzzled Nova happily and Quisque couldn't help but smile a little.
"I just hope Dreamer doesn't mind you." Nova added with a laugh.
