Background:
Ever since his mother passed away when he was young, his father has forced him into becoming a doctor. Because Haruo opposes strongly about the idea, this would lead to constant family disputes. Thus he leaves to live with his grandmother.

With the support of his grandmother, he enrolls to Hoshizora High where he can escape all the problems at home.

Due to his strange appearance and unique hobbies; he doesn't have any friends, or any that he can call friends. He lacks the ability to communicate normally with other people, which leads him into using his sketchbook to convey his messages. He also started inventing to make up for the negligence his father gave him.
