Description
My goal was to remain active...so naturally I fall off the face of the earth for months. Here's my attempt at a triumphant return.

The Subjects:
These two have been floating around in my imagination for probably a good 17 or more years. Celeste's story has grown and changed dramatically in that time and I hope eventually I'll actually sit down and draw it from start to finish. I set out to draw it twice before. The second time I was 53 pages in when I decided I needed to remove most of the beginning. It featured characters and settings you would never see again after the introduction. Once I realized it would be better without this extra junk, poof, the work was scrapped. It seems like a waste, but I like it better this way and keep the old pages around and look back through them from time to time.
Celeste is generally not an elegant or serene character so to me, this picture doesn't look much like her, but I really wanted to do a colored version of this dress and when I set out to draw a picture of it to color the rest just happened. It's also weird for me to draw Zach in anything other than his uniform. It's always the same outfit for Zach. Kind of a pity really, I'm sure I could design a snappier uniform now than I did in high school, but I think he's stuck with it. It's grandfathered in. At least he gets to wear something different for this one scene.

I re-shaded it. There are a few things I liked better about the original, but the things that really bothered me have been taken care of, so I like this better.
