the creeepy part is that puritans used to actually do this to people who were caught gossiping. Ilove how even her outfit pretty much matches the origins. Very well done my dear

I have to ask-- are the lips actually sewn, or are the bits of thread anchored to her skin somehow?  Her lips look too smooth for it to be real, but I can't figure out how this was done.

it is not actually sewn of course, as I'm pretty sure Camille would have had some doubts about it We glued it to her lips with a glue that is used for false eyelashes. We were both suprisingly satisfied with how it turned out, although it had to be re-applied several times, because my dear sisters loves to talk, and forgot to keep her mouth shut while shooting Thank you for your feedback dear

Beautifully taken, and those eyes!
Even without the sewn up lips it would be a great shot, with them it's just got a whole new level of dark and macabre too it.

What I really like about this image - although I've only realised it lately - is that it allows so many interpretations, and everyone can find a way to feel connected to it thanks for your feedback and keep up the good work, because I love your paintings!

I love stuff like this. To be honest, it looks very convincing. I've seen a lady (BeautyinFlesh) post a deviation where she ACTUALLY stitched a ring to her finger.

yikes!    even picturing the image hurts. but I'm happy it looks convincing enough    we've spent a lot of time putting it on, mostly because my sis loves talking, and she always forgot that she should keep her mouth closed for a while

Aah I had to do this in Drama today to practice different effects. I had the same problem, so i can say now that I know the feeling!
