i don't like jake. he's creepy and it bothers me in a way i can't explain. but he's a villain; you're not supposed to like him. i just have to say i absolutely love your version of him. here he seems less creepy to me and more devious, crafty, and evil which is exactly what he is. i know some of those words are redundant, but his character here is just that strong. and that actually makes him scarier. you've done an excellent job.
