first, if not done yet, you have to install qtcurve style for kde4 and gtk apps + qtcurve window decoration

than open kde systemsettings, appearance settings and choose qtcurve style. click the setup-button right besides. click the import button and import the qtcurve-file. for the striped image, plz read the howto

Hi narf, just taking your word about help. I'm having some trouble setting it up. First I have this hideous white margin about my sites. Tried to set all color settings to transparent (Except background, that is set to grey) to no avail. Also, I cant find any way to make the sites appear centered, like you have.

e.g. i have 6 icons in one line
so i choose 8 rows in the setting, and e.g. 5 lines
than i drag and drop the sites or folders to the position i want to have them

Amazing is hardly the adjective to describe this theme. I am seriously thinking of switching from Gnome to KDE. Just a few questions about though:
Are those default KDE icons or what? They are great, anyway.
Does KDE have only close button (like Gnome 3) or what?

icons are faenza, kde has an option to give effects like coloring to the icons.
no, you can choose which buttons do you want to use. but, i just need the close button. no, i do not need even the close-button, but it looks better with it lol. you can have the buttons you need, itΒ΄s not like in gnome

Hey, I'm totally new to KDE!
Okay, some questions:
So, how do I colorize the icons? I pretty much want to copy your icons, for now!
And what's the plasma theme?
Actually, I prefer having just the close button in the title bar too. And I loved gnome-3. I don't find having a maximize button as necessary (or even useful). I have grown used to the mouse gestures and/or double clicking the title bar. But how do you work without minimize? Is there an easy way to switch between desktops? (Something like Gnome 3 perhaps?)
Oh and how do I use emerald themes with KDE? I really loved the setup in which you used Droid emerald theme. I heard it had something to do with Kwin, but unfortunately could find out how....
Lastly, some criticism. I really think the menus need some work
(Not sure if it's a Qtcurve/KDE limitation or what)

I switch between desktops with the mouse-wheel or with mousegestures or with keyboard shortscuts, i defined some possibilities
And i minimize windows almost never. If i want to do it, i use a click on the icon in smoothtasks-plasmoid.
Well, setting up the menu-look is really limited in qtcurve. which ideas do you have, maybe itΒ΄s possible to realize them.

About the menus: I actually checked out the options in qtcurve and well, that's the problem. It can't use custom images as background or highlight!

well, there are limitations, but all in all i love qtcurve

Woah! How do you install a theme in KDE? How do you even install software in Kubuntu? KDE is too complex
I beleive that Kpackagekit is the alternative for Ubuntu Software Center. But I can't manage to install software, or even see available software. I can only see the installed software ;(
I know that's way off topic, but could you do a How-To to install your theme? I switched from Gnome to KDE to try it

Plasma Theme ist Eigenbau, kann es dir per Mail senden. Allerdings evtl. nicht fΓΌr alle Plasmoiden einsetzbar
Die Desk-Plasmoiden sind verlaufend, oberes Panel ist undurchsichtig, die anderen transparent.

fastdial is a firefox addon. i just changed the background and i use some faenza icons for the subfolders (categories).

I don't know why but fastdial was too difficult in setting some aspects of the page.. anyway I solved doing the page manually!

I succeeded in associating an icon to each link, but I failed in positioning: all icons were in the top left of the fastdial page, giving a bad effect since I would them in the center of the page.. how do you solve this issue?
However, I'm quite fine with my solution.. as far as I know about html, it works!
