Sylvanas is a very famous and racy character with a long and tragic story. I hated Sylvanas since I first met her in the "Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos" where she was a Hight Elf. She'd very annoying me even in WoW with her endless intrigues. I never thought I will cosplaying her. But one day I felt that my hate raised in a very strong feeling that called "I Want To Cosplay It". I alwayas loved her costume design. With this mix of love and hate I made this costume for a 2 month. It's very fast for me.
Materials: For a breastplate and pauldrons I used camping mat. Other armor parts (including pant straps and ears) I wade from PVC. It was my first experience with a PVC and I totally satisfied by the result. All traceries and sculls a made from paper clay. All armor painted by me. I adore working with paint

Not going to lie, this is one of the best Lady Sylvanas cosplays I have seen yet! She's one of my favorite Battle.net characters. I've thought about cosplaying as her, but I have never made my own cosplay before and she would be my first. Is there any advice that you could give me? Or tell me where I should begin? How long did it take you to make her armor?

However Sylvanas needs more decaying flesh and rotting skin on her body.
Let me quote official WoW lore material: Though better preserved than most other undead, the flesh around her mouth cracks and peels like old snakeskin when she speaks
It doesn't make the costume worse, but I find it funny how people portray her more like a night elf than an undead

From here did you take this quote? I've read almost all novels of WoW and I don't remember nothing you say. She always describes as beautiful woman even in undead form. She really has more scary undead look in comics but I cosplaying her game-version which hasn't any cracks, flash and ets. So, I'll not accept your claims, sorry.

It was a fanfiction that won a grand prize in Blizzard's writing contest. It was later released as official lore with minor changes.
The exact quote from the story you can find in the link is:
"I have just returned from Orgrimmar," she said. Her voice scraped against the walls. As her mouth moved, Lor'themar could see the flesh around it crack and peel like a long-discarded snakeskin. "Arthas has dared to strike at the heart of the Horde."
As for her in-game version - she looks 'fine', but in my opinion, mostly due to simplification. If you look at undead models for playable characters, you will notice that their skin looks more dirty rather than cracked (except for parts where you can see bones).
It doesn't make your cosplay 'worse' or 'less accurate' - if it's spot on with her in-game version as we can see. But as you noticed yourself - her version in the comic has more undead look, and I just commented on the fact that to me, personally, portraying undead characters in any fantasy universe as having only different color of skin feels not exactly... right
On the other hand, her not-so-undead version looks better to look at

I agree with you :3 Honestly I've been thinking make one-two cosplay portraits with more realistic Sylvanas (with big scars and decaying flesh for show her as zombie who she is). I guess I'll bring that idea in life when my partner make full Arthas costume for couple cosplay

I really liked Sylvanas in WC3, both as a high elf and later as the Banshee Queen. Her story is a bit of a rehash of Sarah Kerrigan's in a WarCraft setting, but then I always liked Kerrigan as well.
Fighting to defend her home, then forced into service by the hated enemy, then finding herself in an undesirable situation but rallying to pick up the pieces and forging a new home, a new future... amid those who see her as a monster. I dunno, it is somehow appealing, story-wise.
Not saying this to say that "you are WRONG!", just to show a different point of view.
That is an awesome outfit, beautifully shot. Do you know if there is any equally good cosplay of Sylvanas as a hig elf, before being turned into the Banshee Queen? Whenever I search, I only come up with things like this and it would be fun to see the alternative.
