Brief History:
Born in early leafbare down south of DewClan's border, Soot was the only daughter of the loner, Crow. The black molly with piercing green eyes had never wanted to have kits, let alone take care of one in the harshest of times. Little Soot was nothing but a burden to her. The weather was freezing cold and the air chilling to the bone. It was about time she left the kitten to decide her own fate. Skip a few hours later, Soot woke up in the warm confines of the DewClan nursery. Unbeknownst to her, a patrol had shown mercy and taken her to the camp. She was re-named Rook-kit after her dark fur, resembling the feathers of a rook's. She was given to a queen's care to foster.
Rook-kit grew up as a generally happy kit, oblivious of her origins. She had a blast; playing mossball, listening to the elders' stories, and much more! All was well. Time passes quickly when you're having fun. As soon as she knows it, she was assigned a mentor and became an apprentice. Though the path to warriorhood up ahead is long, she is determined to face the challenges it brings.

Skypaw was sitting by the apprentice den, smiling. He had just passed his assessment a few hours ago! He had also heard of a 'Rookpaw' in the camp, and was please at yet another apprentice.

Speak of the devil, the dark-furred she-cat strode out of the apprentice's den, carefully ducking amidst the way so her head won't touch the summit of the entrance. Rookpaw's eyes darted around camp, taking notice of what was going on. She came to pause to take notice of the smiling tom. "Hello," greeted she, wondering why he was in such a good mood. "What's up?" she queried.

Skypaw looked at the dark furred apprentice. "The sky." He joked in his always friendly tone. "Rookpaw, right? Nice to meet you." He purred. This she-cat was nice so far. He padded at a weed stem as he waited for an Awnser from the feline.

Rookpaw couldn't suppress her giggle as she heard the white-furred apprentice's reply. "Good one!" she snorted. "Yeah. Nice to meet you too.. Uh.. Skypaw? Right?" she smiled in a crooked fashion, a tad embarrassed for her inability to recall the white pelted tom's name for sure.

"Yep! That's it! You win the grand prize!!" He laughed as he sprayed a little dust at her. He purred as she was trying to shake the dust off, her started to walk behind her to think he ran away.

Rookpaw's eyes widened as the dust landed upon her face. Once she was done shaking the dust off her fur, she was left in confusion of the apprentice's sudden disappearance. She looked left and right frantically as effort to find where he was. Skypaw's plan had worked.

Skypaw yowled and he jumped on Rookpaw and batted playfully at her nose. It was a while since he had played like a kit. He laughed until his stomach hurt, not caring that Rookpaw pushed him off onto the ground.

Rookpaw brushed off the rest of the dust clinging unto her dark pelt, laughing alongside him. She pawed his face, still laughing.

The tom nipped lay fully at her paw and coughed. He was laughing so hard he had choked on his own spit. He smiled and purred, looking at Rookpaw.

The she-cat snickered under her breath as he nipped her paw. "You got me!" she snorted. "I was really surprised! Honest!"

Leafpaw just came from training with Cloudheart and looked around the camp. He saw Rookpaw and realized he dont even know her very good. He came closer and said "Hey..." he meowed, trying to sound nice.

Rookpaw shifted her yellow gaze towards the voice, her ears perked and alert. "Oh, hey..!" she greeted as she saw the patched apprentice, her voice muffled by the rabbit she was carrying. "What can I help you with?"

Leafpaw smiled a little. "Just...how are you?" he meowed and looked around.

The dark-furred apprentice laid the rabbit's body down the fresh-kill pile. "Pretty good, 'suppose!" she responded with a simper upon her face. "You?"

Apprentice's ears twitched. "I-I'm fine" he smiled with suprise how nice is Rookpaw nice to him. Maybe she could be his friend.

"Glad to hear," said Rookpaw with a grin as she saw him smile. She blinked, realizing that she has never talked to this tom before, let alone properly introduced herself. "My name's Rookpaw," said she, "What's yours?"

Gray-white tom's whiskers shaked. "Leafpaw" he smiled. "But I'll be warrior soon...I guess" he murmured, his ears twitched.

"Nice to meet you, Leafpaw!" she mewed in a friendly manner, slightly dipping her head. "Are you really excited since you're becoming warrior soon?" asked she, her voice raised in excitement.

Her smile dispersed to a grimace as the tom inquired about her progress. "Training?" she let out a soft mewl. "Well, I haven't been training much lately..." she answered, her voice sounded a tad upset. Rookpaw shook her head. "It's alright though! Everything's pretty good so far." said she in a lighter tone. "Anyway.. What were you up to?"
