Description Gena leaned her head on Zacky's shoulder, watching his bandmate dance with his new wife while the sun set over Palm Springs. Zacky stroked her pale blond hair with one hand and held her left hand in the other. He loved Gena very much: if he could name the sources of happiness in his life, the first one on the list would be her. Watching Val and Matt out there, receiting vows and diving into pools and dancing together, it made him wonder if he would be next down the aisle. While he knew Brian and Michelle would beat him to the punch - they were already engaged - he couldn't help but imagine Gena in a flowing white gown, walking down an aisle to meet him there, surrounded by their friends and family, as they proclaimed their love for the world to see.
Zacky kissed his girlfriend's forehead, still stroking her soft hair. Valary was dancing with her father now. Gena got her head off of him and reached for a sip from her champagne glass. He brushed the exposed, tanned skin on her leg with his hand, making her blush as he got higher and higher up her leg. Him and Gena's imaginary wedding still played out inside his mind; but rather than pay attention to the boring stuff like the vows, he fast-forwarded to the garter toss.
The dances ended, and everyone clapped for the newly-joined couple and headed to the dancefloor themselves, including Zacky and Gena. The DJ was playing some sort of strange duet between Lady GaGa and Marilyn Manson, a remix of one of her songs. It was danceable and the lyrics were kind of sexy. They danced like the the kids they saw on the news who got in trouble at dances for all kinds of sexual, provacative moves.
Later came a slower song, and Zacky turned Gena around so he could look at her beautiful face when they danced, rather than her backside. Rather than just awkwardly sway back and forth like the other couples, they waltzed like the older couples did, only holding each other close enough to feel the other's heat beating against their own. Gena bit down on her lip ring.
"Hey, boo..." she whispered, her big eyes wide.
"Mmmm?" he replied, noticing how warm she was under his hand.
"Have you ever pictured that, maybe this could be us one day?" She motioned to the newlyweds, who were dancing not too far from them.
"I have, I'll be honest," he told her, "And after the video for Afterlife, it's never hard to picture you in a white gown, dancing with me like we are." Before she could respond, the music picked up its pace and it was back to a makeshit club on the dancefloor. Gena and Zacky retired back to their table, choosing to continue the conversation. She held his rough, tattooed hand in her soft, conditioned one and looked into his pale green eyes.
"But really though - you've thought of about us...in the long run like that?" Gena had to ask. It wasn't like she wanted to get married to him right now - but she was merely curious. She did pictured their own wedding sometimes, but they still had time on their side, they were still young.
"Of course I have," he brushed a platinum lock of hair out of her face, "But I don't want to rush into anything too soon. Let's just continue taking us a day at a time." He leaned in and gently brushed his lips against hers, their lips rings clashing as it got deeper. He held her face in his hands, not wanting to stop touching her even for a moment. He heard laughing in the background and knew from the exact pitch it was being directed at him by a certian little shithead. He turned around, still holding Gena's face, and glared at the source of such moking laughter.
"Look who decided to stop sucking face!" Johnny laughed with Jimmy, who had a giant beard and long hair. He looked like a caveman in a tuxedo. Johnny had his arm around his own girlfriend, who was mouthing her apologies at Gena. Zacky only raised an eyebrow and shook a finger at him.
"Johnathon, you shouldn't be out past your curfew," he chided, "your mommy must be worried sick. And I'm sure Lacey has a curfew too, and you best get her home on time before her father shoots you in the leg." Gena laughed, his response bringing back memories of when she first brought Zacky home to meet her parents.
"What are you, the dating police? And you sound like my mom, God!" Jimmy bursted out laughing at Johnny's response. Lacey couldn't help but bury her face into the tattooed side of Johnny's neck in a fit of giggles. Gena didn't like that she hid her face when she laughed. She always thought Lacey was really pretty, especially when she smiled.
"Stop acting like a kid then!" he laughed.
"Then get a room with Gena!" The couple blushed as Johnny retreated to the dancefloor with Lacey at his arm.
"Bah, he's still that little shit that I supposedly beat up in kindergarden, yet they grow up so fast," Jimmy receited in a mock-weepie voice, "I mean, look at him. He and Lacey...man, I can see 'em, I can see 'em." He shook his head and smiled proundly at the young lovers, who were grinding like a ho and a pimp at a strip club. Gena put a hand across her face to hide her smile. The whole scene was a total deadpan.
"See them what? On that '16 & Pregnant' show?" Zacky asked.
"At an alter one day. But I see it for every couple. You guys, me and Angelina Jolie before I met Leana. When two people are love, it's always a possibilty for the future." Zacky was impressed. What Jimmy just said made him sound so...philiosophical.
"Now I gotta go take a shit. Be right back." He informed, walking away as if to give them alone time.
"TMI, Jimmy!" Zacky shouted behind at him. He scooted his chair closer to Gena and kissed her again. The imaginary Paulhus-Baker wedding was still playing in his mind, and in it it was wedding night.
Gena seated herself onto his lap, kissing him shamelessly. Normally she wouldn't, but he was so handsome in his tuxedo and was being so honest with her, he deserved a sexy kiss right now. With everyone dancing and socializing, no one is going to notice. Zacky removed his lips from hers, his finger tracing up her arm.
"How about we go somewhere romantic," he purred seductivly into her ear, "And practice for our wedding night?" Gena blushed and got off his lap, lacing her hand with his.
"I'll save the date."
