see the extra plugs next to her ears? I was hoping they'd be more hidden (cause she needed moar hair and i was running out of room to put plugs) but y'know, stuff happens. And considering she probably wont face this way on display.... well yeah
Her eyes are red because deal with it
On this particular Vinyl custom i liked the red better, and it was a nod to the fandom who gave her red eyes before we saw her official eyes.Haired with Water Nixie and Forget me Not from Dolly Hair

It looks really good. The hair colour is really well done. The hair rooted by the ear in the picture on the left is kind of annoying me but I'd say thats has more to do with the base figurines hair placement but I have no clue as I've never done customs like this. So feel free to disregard all that.
Other than that The only other thing I would say needs work is the detail painting. It looks pretty good except some of the borders, most notably the eyes and left Cutie Mark, are "wobly" and ill defined. I would suggest using a smaller brush and stabilizing your arms and work on the table. Try to have as many contact points while being comfortable. Also don't be scared about going over the area multiple times. even if you accidentally screw up and make a worse mistake (Like a line across the whole section your working on) they're usually not that bad or hard to correct. especially when your doing fine detailing. So stop go watch a movie, have a smoke or whatever it is you do to relax while you let the paint dry then jump back in and touch up everything. Hell I've spent hours, sometimes days on some little detail that I couldn't get just right.
All that said. It looks awesome hope to see more like it. Also hope to win it... or at the very least commission one like it!

I used the smallest brush available in my arts and crafts store, it's only about 2mm long haha
My biggest problem is my impatience. I HATE spending time on things, it's a hard habit to break, because if it takes me more than one or two days in total to make a custom I tend to just give up and not finish it.Β
Also I've got really shaky hands, especially when painting the right side of customs.Β
It's just something I need to keep working at, even though I've painted countless ponies I still need practice.Β
I will get better, it will just take time.

fair enough. but brushes do go smaller than that. you can also try going a size bigger as well. Not sure what mm translates into in brush sizes but my more common fine detail brushes are 3/0 (for most everything) 0, 1 and 2. but the last one is for when I need long smooth strokes usually
and I get the impatience thing. trust me. I'm ready to throw projects out the window by the time I'm finished some of the longer ones which is why I spend 90% of my "finishing touches" outside smoking and playing with my dog instead of painting lol
and like I said try rest as much of your arms or the table your working on. really helps with the shaking.
and hey I probably wouldn't be able to do custom ponies half as good as you lol Either way keep at it! you got my watch, and whenever you open up commission quite probably my wallet too lol

In this case, I wanted to make them red, because the last vinyl I made had the pinkish-red eyes, and on this particular custom the red looked nicer
If you want a vinyl with the "right" colour eyes, then commission one haha cause otherwise I'm going to make them however I feel at the time

Technically yes, but it has been accepted by the fandom for a long time now to give her red eyes, and I tried the magenta, but in this instance the red looked better
