Theme: season, Sub theme: Fall

Autumn; the closing ceremony of life. Leaves descend to the ground, fruits draw their last breath of life before they dry, and birds immigrate leaving the chilling sense of finality behind. There is no sadder season than autumn as you come closer to the end you’ve been dreading since the beginning.

The human life's cycle is just another year divided neatly into seasons: the joyful spring when life is born and wonders are created, the glorious summer in which life blossoms and shines like a golden medal in the daylight, and autumn quickly follows; all the strength and glamour fade away in preparation for the cold, dead winter.

It's not a sad or dramatic point of view, this is life. Autumn might be the road leading to the end, but it closes only one chapter in life’s endless pages. La Vie will keep on going, but with different characters and different scenarios.

I chose to photograph an old man with wrinkles covering his face because that's where I see fall; The fall of ones life, when death is drawing near.
