Description
I typically slept in until noon, rarely seeing anything before 11. For some strange reason however, I coaxed myself out of bed as soon as the chirps of birds began. Eventually, my feet were trudging against the cobblestone ground within my home town. While humming and bobbing my head, I wandered down a narrow alleyway, playing zero attention to reality.

Upon stepping out from the alleyway's entrance, I walked straight into a smaller form. A yelp flooded out from both of us and I blinked my eyes open. Within my view was some guy who fumbled out more than a single sorry. He seemed uneasy, he seemed timid, and overall he seemed familiar. While his eyes shot down at the ground, I stared deeply at him without a word. I didn't quite mean to but looking back at it now, I'm 90 percent sure I made the dude uncomfortable. I ended up smiling and laughing at him which probably confused him further.

"Woah my guy.. Chill out," I patted his shoulder. He flinched.

"Chii... Do I know you from somewhere?" I continued to speak when his pupils settled on me. "Fe-Ferris? Farrie.. Farren! Yeaaaaah."

When I got his name right, his thin ears perked up. I gave him a toothy grin.

"Oh uh.. I.. I don't really remember you.. I'm sorry," Farren's voice was soft and polite.

"Eh? I wouldn't expect you to. I mean.. We only talked that one time after you got beat up..Pfft.." After the incident came back to my mind, I scrunched up my nose. There were claw marks running against the cream and green 'gro's cheek. It wasn't fresh nor did it seem to be all that old. I piped up again, "Hm, dude? You still getting beat up? Is it by that red guy still?"

I didn't get a vocal answer but by the way his eyes darted back to the walkway under our feet, I knew he was. A sigh flooded past my mouth and I followed my urge to rub the scar. My thumb gingerly pressed into it. Another flinch followed from Farren.

"Hey.. It doesn't look that bad. Makes you look bad ass actually. I mean, I wouldn't mess with a guy with such tough lookin' scratches.." My words didn't seem to cheer him up.

I frowned for a brief moment before returning to my usual smile. I felt bad for the guy. Not because of his injury but because of what he probably had to deal with. With the faint memories of the nook starting to buzz in my head, I knew he was either being tormented or pitied constantly. I bet there is barely any times where he isn't being subjected to one or the other, especially if he was still at the nook. I bet no one ever showed him how to stand up for himself either.. Probably only has in extreme situations. I sighed.

"I'm guessing you're still at the nook, huh? You can come live with me and get away from that guy if yah want!"

"I live with my mother now.. You don't have to worry about it."

"Oh uh-... That's rad! Well, I- I'll just help you with somethin' else! Though I'm sure you got a whole bunch of people there for you if you have a family now but.. Uh.."

Those tan eyes fell into mine again and I swallowed hard. They seemed filled with distant curiosity.

"I wanna show you that don't have to take it. I'm sure you're sick of being everyone's scared little kid all the time or being their punching bag... I understand if you don't want whatever I have to offer though. Not like you really know me..." I wasn't even sure why I was following the impulse to go out of my way to help. Was it because I failed so miserably last time that he's still in this state? Blehhh. Whatever.

Farren's mouth opened once more to speak.

Farren is getting his butt kicked again by Blood boy

This would happen a bit after it happened so it doesn't interrupt any other plots

also struggling not to be descriptive while writing to stick to Rory's personality but eh

anywayssss... Will Farren except Rory's offer? Will Rory ever stop touching people? With Farren soon become a confident man? Probably not? Find out next time onnnnnnnnn Total Drama Wyngro
