Description The Special Operations Command Station is located On Brooklyn Island Rd., Silverwood District, South Atlantic City. The Special Operations Command Station is home to Rescue Operations Logistics One, Rescue Operations Logistics Two, Rescue Five-One, The Urban Search and Rescue Team, The Reserve Rescue Company, The Reserve Squad Company, The Collapse Rescue Shoring Unit, The Swiftwater/Scuba Unit, The Rebreather Operations Support Unit, Rebreather Unit One, The Mass Decontamination Unit, Hooklift Two and the High Volume Pumping Unit Pod, The Skid Steer Unit and the Major Collapse Rescue Pod, The Assistant SOC Battalion, The Mass Hose Pod, The Turret Pod, The Bulk Foam Pod and The Rescue Operations Pod. The Special Operations Command Station covers citywide incidents were specialized equipment and rigs may be needed. Rescue Operations Logistics One and Two is used to transport Equipment to and from scene and is used to supplement any Rescue Company as needed. Rescue Five-One is will respond to High-Rise incidents where aerial ladders are deemed unsafe and can be used as a platform as needed. The Urban Search and Rescue Team is made of specially trained members of the department to operate The Urban Search and Rescue Team as needed. The Reserve Rescue Company ad the Reserve Squad Company are stored at the Special Operations Command station for backup and support to any Rescue or Squad Company if any are to go of of service. The Reserve Rescue and Squad are kept at the Special Operations Command Station to better manage their equipment. The Collapse Rescue Shoring Unit does respond with any of the city's Collapse Rescues to major incidents. The Swiftwater/Scuba unit is to support the Dive Team or the main Swiftwater Unit (quartered at Rescue Three's Station). Rebreather operations and rebreather Unit 1 are used for special air packs to provide a longer time in the "hot zone" during hazardous events, they will both respond as a battalion or deputy chief requests their presence at the incident. The high-volume Pumping unit will respond to major fires to provide industrial firefighting capabilities. The Skid Steer and the Major Collapse Rescue Unit operate as a attached unit and will respond solely for support to major incidents as needed. The pods itself are used as as a extra support units incase of major incidents. The Mass Hose Pod, The Turret Pod, The Bulk Foam Pod and The Rescue Operations Pod will all be transported to scene by any of the two Hooklifts' the department operate.

Rescue Operations Logistics One (Shops # RL0001) Rescue Operations Logistics One is staffed by up to: 1 Department member. Total normal staffing: 0 and maintains a First Responder response level. Rescue Operations Logistics One carries one dry chemical extinguisher, one first aid kit, and one pallet jack. 

Rescue Operations Logistics Two (Shops # RL0002) Rescue Operations Logistics Two is staffed by up to: 1 Department member. Total normal staffing: 0 and maintains a First Responder response level. Rescue Operations Logistics Two carries rope rescue equipment, dive rescue equipment, twenty five life jackets, two dry chemical extinguishers, one dry chemical extinguisher, one first aid kit, and one pallet jack. '

Rescue Five-One (Shops # LT1907) Rescue Five-One is staffed by up to: 1 Department member. Total normal staffing: 0 and maintains a First Responder response level. Rescue Five-One is outfitted with one scissor lift. Rescue Five-One carries three sets of forcible entry tools, two 300' bags of life safety rope, one dry chemical extinguisher, and first aid kit.


Urban Search and Rescue Unit (Shops # AR05482) The Urban Search and Rescue Unit is staffed by up to: 1 Captain (EMT/Paramedic), 2 FF/Paramedics, and 3 FF/EMTs. Total normal staffing: 6 and maintains an ALS Response Level. The Urban Search and Rescue Unit carries a Generator, Spare Radios and Chargers, Detection Equipment, Eight Level B HAZMAT Suits, Forceable Entry Tools, Five K12 Circular Saws, Five Chainsaws, Collapse/Trench Rescue Equipment, Shoring Lumber, Air Bag Extrication Equipment, two Supplied Air Respirator Carts, Hydraulic Extrication Tools, PPE for various environments, Three Backboards, Three Stokes Baskets, One Floating Stokes Basket, and ALS Medical Supplies.

Reserve Rescue (Shops # RR-001) The Reserve Rescue, former Rescue Three, is staffed by up to: 1 FF/Engineer (EMT/Paramedic), 1 Lieutenant (EMT/Paramedic), 1 FF/Paramedic, and 2 FF/EMTs. Total normal staffing: 0 and maintains a ALS response level. Total normal staffing: 0 and maintains an ALS response level. The Reserve Squad is set up with three hose beds: one with 1200' of 5" large diameter supply hose, one with 500' of 2 1/2" supply/attack hose, and with one 200' of 2 1/2" supply/attack hose in a dead load to be pulled and used as a blitz line. In addition to its hosebeds, the Reserve Squad also carries two 150' preconnected 1 3/4" crosslays, one 150' bumper tray line of 1 3/4" attack hose, two 8' segments of 5" hard suction hoses, one 15' segment of 5" large diameter supply hose in front bumper, two 25' rolls of 2 1/2" supply/attack hoses, two 150' high rise packs of 1 3/4" attack hose, and one 300' preconnected 1" booster reel off the tailboard. The Collapse Rescue Shoring Unit is outfitted with various lengths and dimensions of plywood, nine 3' struts, twelve 1 1/2' struts, three 1' strut, six 4 1/2' struts, nine 3' extensions, four paratech controllers, four paratech swivel bases, twelve paratech extensions, one little giant folding ladder, one built in generator, various lengths of electric power cords, one large light tower, miscellaneous hand tools, miscellaneous power tools, one large acetylene torch, one mini acetylene torch, two purple K extinguishers, one spare O2 tank, twenty spare SCBA bottles, and a first aid kit.

Swiftwater/Scuba Unit (Shops # UT6475) The Swiftwater/Scuba Unit is staffed by up to: 2 Department Members Total normal staffing: 0 and maintains a First Responder response level. The Swiftwater/Scuba Unit tows a trailer with two metal hull boats. The Swiftwater/Scuba Unit also carries rope rescue equipment, dive rescue equipment, twenty five life jackets, two dry chemical extinguishers, one supplied air cart, two long backboards, one floating stokes basket, ten spare SCBUA bottles, twenty wetsuits, and a first aid kit.

Rebreather Operations Support Unit (Shops # MA5395) The Rebreather Operations Support Unit is staffed by up to: 2 FF/EMTs. Total normal staffing: 2 and maintains a First Responder response level. One of the FF/EMTs on the Rebreather Operations Support Unit will staff the Collapse Rescue Shoring Unit as needed. The Rebreather Operations Support Unit carries sixteen rebreather packs, spare oxygen containers, two dry chemical extinguishers, one 300' life safety rope, one set of forcible entry tools, and a first aid kit.

Rebreather Operations Unit (Shops # U-1905) The Rebreather Operations Unit is staffed by up to: 2 FF/EMTs. Total normal staffing: 2 and maintains a First Responder response level. Hooklift Two (Shops # HL0001) Hooklift Two is staffed by up to: 2 Department Members (EMT/Paramedic). Total normal staffing: 0 and maintains a First Responder response level. Hooklift Two carries one set of forcible entry tools, one dry chemical extinguisher, one first aid kit, one mobile data terminal, county map books, first due area pre plan books, and county wide hazard pre plan books.

High-Volume Pump Pod (Shops # PD0001) The High-Volume Pump Pod carries a 2900 GMP industrial pump, 5000' of 5" large diameter supply hose, hose fittings and adapters, and one first aid kit.

Skid-Steer (Shops # GT7294) The Skid-Steer is staffed by up to: 2 department Members or 1 FF/EMT. Total normal staffing: 2 and maintains a First Responder response level. The Skid-Steer is to only carry the Major Collapse Rescue Pod. The Skid-Steer carries one dry chemical extinguisher, two SCBA packs, five collapsible traffic cones, ten road flares, two rolls of fire scene tape, one decon kit, one mobile data terminal, county map books, first due area pre-plan books, countywide hazard pre-plan books, one AED, and one first aid kit.
