Description Finally finished! That about says it all, don't it? It took more hours than I care to count, but I think it came out pretty good. The paper size was 8.5x11in, but I managed to get a decent amount of detail into it. I'm starting to wonder if maybe I should have used sketchbook paper and drawing pencils. I think it would have added more texture than a mechanical pencil and copy paper...

Morkeleb is one ofΒ  a kind. I looked at this and thought that dragon seemed familiar even before i saw the title, and I haven't read Dragonsbane in years. nicely done to have him be so recognizable!

Thank you very much! He is definitely my favorite dragon. I was a bit disappointed that his design changed for the following books though. Artistic license, I guess .Β

Machanical pencil and copy paper is all I ever work with XD
I'm very picky about my paper textures in artbooks. Some I can work with and some I cant, I never know until afte rI buy it, of course XD

I love the dragon and all of those nice details <3 Great job!

Amazing pencil work. I like the visible pencil lines. It adds a classic quality to the piece. The scales really pop on this guy.

Holy crap.
That is way too cool. And you said my pencil work was good!? Jeez! *laughs* This is wonderful. And, on computer copy paper? *laughs* I can't even get close to the darkness you've achieved here. The paper just didn't have the strength.
And I think that Mechanical pencils are more useful then people thing they are! You can achieve the same values, just have to push harder/layer more.
This is really good, you have great detail and amazing structure. All you'd have to do to make this not so obvious as a mechanical pencil drawing is to get a paper stump and blend those wings slightly. It'd get rid of those pencil lines. But hey, this looks amazing anyhow!

Thank you very much! I did cheat a little and adjusted the midtones on the computer, because the mechanical pencil came out kinda shiny looking. *bad Nashiil* I got a little lazy with the lines. My highschool art teacher would kill me if he saw it because he always stressed that there should be no lines visible on a finished piece. Shadows should meet lighter tones and form the lines. I will work on it!

I saw the thumbnail and thought... "My, a dragon, looks pretty good!" Then I saw the name next to it and was like "OMG Nashiil? But itΒ΄s not colourful and cute!"
