Description three names for this strange fella...


this morning I was having my coffee and cigarette on my balcony when the guy arrived.
I watched him feeding on those little flowers for about 2 minutes thinking he was going to leave anytime soon.
But he kept hovering around so, with no hurry (cause I still belived I would not find him later anyway), I went inside, fund my camera, put my macro and flash on it and came back on the balcony and...
he was still there!


He was nice enough to me: he gave me 3 shots!

Up close like this you can really see why they call it a hummingbird (hawk) moth...
It really does look like the bird!

Interesting critter, I too seen it myself few years ago here in Northern Minnesota.
